		Leroy/Leroy, Germany 2007

		17 year-old Leroy is German, cultivated, well-behaved ... and black. But the family of his first girlfriend, Eva, has a rude awakening in store for him. For Eva’s skinhead brothers brutally remind Leroy of the colour of his skin. Even so, the two of them experience a turbulent summer between diverse ideological experiments, a birthday party that goes wrong, travesties, loss of hearing, a helium balloon accident and the last-minute prevention of a budgie murder. But then Eva and Leroy get beaten up, and Eva leaves him.

		Directors Biography:		Born in 1963 in Berlin, Völckers grew up in Rio de Janeiro and Hamburg. Ten years he devoted exclusively to fine art, with exhibitions in Europe and America. Since 1997 he is a scriptwriter and producer of cartoon series. His successful first short film “Leroy cleans up” is now followed by his feature film debut “Leroy”.
