Jorge is forced to put his career plans on hold when his father, Andrés suffers an incapacitating stroke and is unable to take care of himself. With his mother dead long ago and his brother Antonio in jail, caring for Andrés rests on Jorge’s shoulders. He puts his personal plans on hold, takes over his father’s janitorial position, cares for his father and studies at night. When his childhood sweetheart Nathalia returns from a year of studying abroad, Jorge decides he wants an executive job. But an unexpected relationship with Paula, whom he meets at his brother’s prison, gives him a new perspective on the possibilities life has to offer. Meanwhile, Jorge’s best friend Israel, has family issues of his own. He begins to question his sexuality and his family’s integrity when he discovers that his father frequents a male masseur who finishes their sessions with a hand job. Relationships become so strained that Israel no longer knows how to relate to his parents.

Directors Biography:
  Award-winning Daniel Sánchez Arévalo was born in Madrid in 1970 and has a B.A. in Business Administration. He has been a professional screenwriter since 1993 in several acclaimed Spanish TV series. Having been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship he completed an MFA at Columbia University, New York, where he started his career as a director.
